I'm not sure of the origin of this piece but it obviously sat in a barn for many years. It was made as a Flintlock and then crudely converted to the percussion system for the Civil War. If you look closely at the picture of the forestock you'll see a separation in the wood. This was done on purpose and not as a repair. I've been told that this was done to lessen the vibration at the muzzle which would throw a shot off target. Or there might have been a bench rest that rested in the slot. Whatever the case we can only guess but it was done intentionally. The gun is one step up from a relic but is untouched and actually has a charm to it. The 7th Virginia marking is original and obviously done at the time of use. The 7th was one of the hardest fighting units in the Confederacy. Stunning eye appeal $2450.00

This is an early Richmond Musketoon dated 1862 and made from the parts and with the machines taken from the Harpers Ferry arsenal. The stock stills retains 2 good cartouches and the forestock was refurbished during it's period of use . The lock is Richmond marked and dated 1862. The right side of the buttstock has a Texas Star inlaid in it. The 29+" barrel is encrusted with much blood pitting. It's obvious that the Texan who carried this weapon was either killed or badly wounded. A really nice Confederate Musketoon for a fair price $4750..00
This is a classic Confederate shotgun. It comes with a note from the great, great, grandson of Capt. Shannon (Co.C 10th Texas Inf.) attesting to it's origin and that it also comes with a flat powder horn that family history says dates back to the War of 1812 and was used by George Radcliff. The gun is in well used shape and has a repaired crack behind the lock but is still solid. The right side of the buttstock has a 'Texas Star' nicely carved in it with much wear to it. The left buttstock has the initials 'W.R.S' for the original owner William R. Shannon. A nice Confederate piece with 'Texas' history. $4950.00 Must See

This is a fully cased HUGE 51 cal. Model 1851 Dragoon "Deane and Adams" manufactured under license in Liege by "C. Dandoy". Both the case and the revolver are beautifully marked. The revolver has probably 80% bluing and is serial #4053. The extra cylinder in the case has a matching #4053. There is one tool missing The brass bullet mold is flawless and beautifully marked. Very few museums either here or in Europe can boast of having one of these. Generals Jeb Magruder and General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson were each presented cased sets very similar to this one $3650.00
model manufactured in 1851. The pistol is in exceptionally good shape for so early a pistol. It has all matching serial numbers and the cylinder scene is very readable. Outside of a minor hairline metal manufacturing flaw by the rammer screw it's a perfect pistol. This metal flaw wouldn't have effected the operation of the pistol . All the edges and lines are still sharp and distinct. The backstrap is inscribed "Upton Crooks"and" A.T"on the buttstrap(the meaning unknown). Upton Crooks enlisted in the 3rd Kentucky Mounted Infantry at age 14 in Murray,Kentucky on Apr.1st, 1864 when Forrest bought his men back from the Paducah raid.. The 3rd Kentucky participated in many heated battles:Brice's Cross Roads(10 KIA-23 WIA); Harrisburg;Tupelo;Abbyville;Franklin;Bowling Green;Corinth;Huntsville; Shiloh(1KIA-28WIA). There's no doubt that Pvt.Crooks took this pistol to war with him and that he served with honor under Gen.Forrest. A really rare Confederate piece that was obviously cherished and well taken care of by Pvt.Crooks
